The Mount Dora Christian Academy Lady Bulldogs are set to face Christ’s Church Academy in a Class 2A Regional Semi-Final, with the opportunity to advance to the regional championship game.

Having secured a 4-2 victory against St. John Paul II, the Lady Bulldogs are ready to take on the Eagles of Christ’s Church, who hold a 9-5-1 record this season. MDCA will need to strategize against the formidable duo of Landry Kelley, with 23 goals, and Karlee Castleman, boasting 18 goals and leading the team in assists.

With a season record of 15-3, MDCA has showcased the talents of sophomore Katie Bayly, the consistent performance of Riley Conlan, and the emerging star power of freshman Lana Boudreau.

For MDCA to secure a win against Christ’s Church, the spotlight will be on sophomore goalkeeper Emmi Bowman. As a three-sport athlete participating in volleyball, soccer, and softball, Bowman has been a standout player, amassing 77 saves and allowing only 9 goals in 16 games this season.

As the Lady Bulldogs strive to extend their season, the stage is set for a competitive and thrilling matchup.
