MDCA’s Sean Mora Scores Three Touchdowns In Dominant 54-0 Win Over Orangewood Christian
Mount Dora Christian Academy’s (MDCA) junior wide receiver Sean Mora delivered a standout performance, scoring three touchdowns in a resounding 54-0 victory over Orangewood Christian on Friday night. Mora’s explosive playmaking helped the Bulldogs secure their first win of the season.
Mora was a force on the field, amassing significant yardage and making pivotal plays that set the tone for MDCA’s offense. His three touchdowns highlighted his ability to find the end zone from various points on the field.
The Bulldogs’ offensive unit was led by quarterback Nathan Roach, who threw for two touchdowns looked equally as good. Roach connected with Mora on several key plays, showcasing their chemistry and precision. Roach’s passing game kept the Orangewood Christian defense on its heels, opening up opportunities for Mora and the rest of the offense to go to work. Senior Frank Hicks also impressed with 103 yards receiving and one touchdown.
MDCA’s defense was equally impressive, stifling Orangewood Christian’s offense and securing a shutout. The Bulldogs dominated the line of scrimmage, preventing their opponents from gaining any momentum.
Head coach Kolby Tackett’s team demonstrated their preparation and execution, delivering a complete performance on both sides of the ball. Athletic Director Megan Ziegelhofer told us that Blake Banks had two interceptions. The defense was a major contributor to last year’s conference championship winning team. 2024 looks like much of the same for MDCA which is a good thing.
As MDCA looks ahead to their next game, the Bulldogs will aim to build on this dominant performance, with Mora and Roach leading the charge. I think this team is in for big things in 2024.
