After 48 years of dedicating her life to caring for others, UF Health Leesburg secretary Nola Dailey now needs the community’s support.

Nola has become well-known for her caring attitude, faith and compassion, serving generations of patients and families through her work at the local hospital. As she now faces her own health challenges and takes time to rest and heal, friends and community members are rallying to return the love she has so freely given.

“I just feel like this woman has dedicated so much of her entire life helping others and she deserves this,” said Brittany Bentley Pope, who helped launch the effort along with the UF Health team members. “She absolutely means the world to me.”

Two ways have been created for the public to offer support: a Meal Train for providing meals and gift cards, and a GoFundMe to assist with additional needs.

Organizers shared that Nola’s appetite is limited to bland foods and small portions, with soups and subs being among her favorites. Gift cards to Publix or food delivery services are especially appreciated for their convenience and flexibility.

Above all, Nola asks for prayers, positive thoughts and words of encouragement as she navigates this difficult season.

“She has always been one of those rare souls who lights up every room with her kindness, empathy and unwavering faith,” the GoFundMe post read.

Those who feel called to help can sign up to deliver a meal through the Meal Train or donate through the GoFundMe link. Every act of kindness — big or small — will make a meaningful difference.
