Whether writing songs in Nashville, working as a musician, a battalion fire chief, a cattle rancher and now, as owner of one of Lake County’s fastest-rising luxury pool companies—Jeff Hurst doesn’t do average. 

Born and raised in Central Florida, Jeff spent years grinding between Florida and Music City, landing publishing deals and touring across Florida. All the while maintaining a career with Lake County Fire Rescue. Fast forward and he’s swapped those demo tracks for design blueprints.

Now, with Pools by Nolan Jacobs — a name inspired by his sons — Jeff builds high-end custom pools that turn backyards into jaw-dropping escapes. “We only build a handful of pools a year,” he says, “but they’re elite, next level.”

And when he’s not building dream pools? He’s teaming up with Kara, his wife of 18 years, to run their cattle ranch and raise their two boys, Mason and Nolan.

He brings that same energy to everything he does—from the firehouse to the family ranch—making their life a blend of heritage, hustle and heart.
