Senior Aaliyah Crump, a McDonald’s All-American and a Jersey Mike’s Naismith Third-Team All-American, has also been instrumental to the team’s success, averaging 11.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. Other key players include senior guard Amaia Jackson, a senior guard committed to Clemson who has averaged a team-high 3.8 assists per game, and Lourdes Da Silva Costa, an Alabama commit who has averaged a team-high 6.7 rebounds per game.
During this year’s regular season, Montverde Academy faced Faith Family Academy and IMG Academy, winning them both. The Eagles secured a 70-48 victory over Faith Family Academy on January 18 and MVA won 65-57 at IMG Academy on February 19. Their most recent matchup against Westtown came in the semifinal round of the 2023 National Championship, where the Eagles earned a 58-51 victory en route to claiming their second consecutive title.
With an opportunity to further solidify their dynasty, the Eagles will look to continue their championship pedigree in Fishers, Indiana. Fans can tune in to ESPNU to see MVA’s semifinal round game against Faith Family Academy, and ESPN2 to see the Eagles finish their quest for a fourth straight championship against either Westtown or IMG Academy.
