The 25th Annual Mount Dora Taste is set to return Saturday, May 2, bringing together local restaurants, live entertainment and hundreds of attendees for one of the area’s most anticipated food events.

Hosted by the Mount Dora Area Chamber of Commerce, the event will take place at Sunset Park in downtown Mount Dora from 6:30 to 10pm, with VIP entry beginning at 6pm. Organizers expect between 750 and 800 attendees to take part in the milestone celebration.

More than 20 local restaurants will be featured, offering sample-sized bites ranging from savory entrées to desserts. Guests will have the opportunity to explore the park while tasting a variety of dishes and casting votes in the returning People’s Choice Awards, which recognize favorites in categories including Best Entrée, Appetizer, Dessert, Beer and Cocktail.

New this year is the introduction of the Media Choice Awards, adding another layer to the event. Local media outlets and influencers — including Channel 9, Good Day Orlando (FOX), Orlando Shine, Orlando Foodie Girl, Lake & Sumter Style Magazine and Triangle News — will be onsite to sample offerings and select standout restaurants.

Live entertainment will be provided by Blender, a Central Florida band known for its high-energy performances.

A longtime community favorite, Mount Dora Taste continues to highlight the strength of the local dining scene while drawing visitors from across the region into the downtown area. VIP ticket holders will receive early access, exclusive samples and entry into a private, air-conditioned lounge.

Tickets are available in advance at MountDora.com, and the event will take place rain or shine.
