No Kings says, “They’ve defied our courts, deported Americans, disappeared people off the streets, attacked our civil rights, and slashed our services. The corruption has gone too far. No thrones, no crowns, no kings.”
The group is offering a toolkit for hosts including messaging, posters & graphics. No Kings is also offering Trainings including Media & Messaging, Safety & Deescalation and about Knowing Your Rights.

Protests are planned all around the USA on Saturday. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis spoke on the subject during a recent Rubin Report interview saying, “We have a policy in Florida where, if you are driving on a street with protesters and a mob comes and surrounds your vehicle and threatens you, you have a right to flee for your safety. If you drive off and you hit one of these people, that’s their fault for infringing on you. You don’t have to sit there and be a sitting duck and let the mob grab you out of your car and drag you through the streets. You have a right to defend yourself in Florida.”
We also reached out to Lake County Sheriff Peyton Grinnell who says “Our intelligence unit is monitoring all the social media activity and have coordinated with all city police agencies in Lake County. Any violations of Florida law will be dealt with as we do on a daily basis.”

(If you find yourself in the area of Center Lake Park in Clermont on Saturday, do be aware of protest activity happening from 10:00am – 11:30am.)
Protests are also planned for The Villages at the Morse Boulevard Roundabout as you enter Lake Sumter Landing, Leesburg at Lake-Sumter State College and Mount Dora at the Intersection of Donnelly and US 441.
No Kings says, “We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.”
