Leesburg is about to welcome a new school with the launch of the Leesburg Christian Academy in Fall 2024. Located at 1414 West Main St., within the Christian Worship Center campus, this new private school will offer an individualized learning experience for students from Kindergarten through 6th grade.

“We have five child care locations and we noticed that a lot of our children leave child care go to public schools,” Pastor John Christian, who will be the school’s head master, says. “We heard lots of parents talk of some of their issues with kids not be able to navigate well in public school, so it seemed like a natural migration to offer this service. They can have a Christian private school setting which will help kids with learning needs or who want to focus on having a Christian education.”

Renovations are already underway to revitalize the space, including the installation of new carpeting, vinyl flooring, signage, and other enhancements to create an inviting and conducive learning environment.

The school will operate as a private institution, with a focus on providing personalized attention to education. Parents can utilize state scholarship programs such as Step Up For Students, which helps on an income-need basis, to help schooling costs.

With significant interest already expressed from the community, Leesburg Christian Academy anticipates a strong start with an initial goal of 40 students in its first year. The school’s will offer smaller classroom sizes, certified teachers, and a curriculum enriched with specialized arts, music, and entrepreneurial electives which will set it apart from traditional educational settings.

“We are excited about the opportunities Leesburg Christian Academy will offer to our students,” John says. “Our goal is to provide an environment where learning is not just a requirement but a source of excitement. By offering a curriculum tailored to the needs and interests of our students, we aim to prepare them for success in life beyond the classroom.”

Registration is anticipated to open next month.
