The long-awaited opening of Fresh Jalapeno Mexican Restaurant in Lady Lake is here! The restaurant hosted their grand opening on Tuesday to much fanfare. The restaurant is a family operation that has completely renovated the building. The new restaurant is clean, well cared for, and is not associated with the previous ownership, Brisas Del Mar.

“Our family is so proud to be here,” owner Manny Tovar says. “We have previous experience operating restaurants in Mexico, and we come with homemade recipes that have been handed down for generations. We make everything homemade. These are my mother Maria Corona’s recipes and her mother’s before her. This is our first restaurant, and we could not be more excited to serve the community.”

Manny’s mother, Maria Corona, is the head chef of Fresh Jalapeno Mexican Restaurant, and you can be sure when Maria is in the kitchen, she will make you feel like you’re not in Lady Lake, but right in Mexico.

“All of our food is authentic,” Manny says. “We made sure to make extensive renovations to the building and kitchen when we arrived. We want people to know that this is a brand-new ownership group who is intent on giving the best experience possible. Everything is made with love. You will feel that with every bite, every sip of a margarita. If you want food made with loving care, that’s what we will provide you.”

Fresh Jalapeno Mexican Restaurant’s Facebook page states, “We are the go-to spot for authentic Mexican cuisine. From mouthwatering tacos to sizzling fajitas, our menu is packed with traditional favorites.” The restaurant serves Enchiladas, Fajitas, Steaks, Tacos, Burritos, and they also have a vegetarian menu as well.

“We want everyone to come in and enjoy a great lunch or dinner with family or friends,” Manny says. “Come in and have a wonderful day and enjoy homemade recipes.”

People have already been raving about the restaurant. Cindy Nazzaro made a post saying, “An absolute delicious night at the new Fresh Jalapeno Mexican Restaurant tonight!!! The food was fabulous, the guacamole was to die for, the margaritas were amazing, and the service was superb… it was a wonderful new favorite spot! I’m going back for their Taco Tuesday… Check it out!!”

We are so happy to see a new ownership group come in and put some love and care into this restaurant. This restaurant has been many things over the years, but I think this ownership group is the best that this location has seen yet. We hope that you give this local family-owned business a try!
