New Taco Spot Brings “Nacho Typical” Flavors to Mount Dora

Mount Dora’s already buzzing food scene just got a little more flavorful. On the corner of the Mount Dora Marketplace, Nacho “Typical” Taco Truck is the latest creation from Mr. Williams, as he is known around town. If Mr. Williams looks familiar, that’s because he and his wife, Michelle, own The Deli Llama, which also just relocated to the Mount Dora Marketplace. Now, he is branching out and following his taco obsession.

Mr. Williams and Manager “Sunshine”
“We just keep it fun and simple,” Mr. Williams says. “These are things you could make at home, but let’s be honest—you’re probably not going to. So why not let us do it for you?”
That laid-back, funky vibe is woven into every detail. The build-out follows the “not your typical taco truck” theme and the menu is equal parts creative, and in true Williams fashion, a little offbeat.
Take the Avo Frito, a vegetarian-friendly taco stacked with fresh avocado, Tajín, Fritos, pico de gallo, cilantro lime sauce and jalapeño. Or try the Chicken Chipotle, which layers seasoned chicken with Colby Jack, hummus, Fritos, chipotle aioli, and green onions—a combo you’d never expect, but one that works.
“Once you say it out loud, you’re like, oh, dang. That actually makes sense,” Mr. Williams laughed.
Other standouts include the Elote Chipotle, with roasted corn, queso fresco, chipotle aioli, and fried onions, Avo Pork Belly, balancing rich pork belly with hoisin sauce, sriracha mayo, avocado, and carrots, The Cowboy, a smoky pulled pork taco with barbecue sauce, cheese, pico, and crispy onions, and, for the purists, a Street Taco with carnitas, cilantro lime sauce, onion, and fresh cilantro.
For those who prefer the basics, the Toddler Taco offers the comfort of a hard shell with meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream, “for the folks who aren’t ready to get adventurous yet.”
What really makes Nacho “Typical” stand out, though, is its personality. It’s tacos with character, bold flavors, cheeky combinations, and a vibe that says, “You’re here to eat good food and have a good time.”
And if his track record with Deli Llama is any indication, these tacos are going to be a hit.
“We love what we do and we’ve got a passion for it,” Williams says. “At the end of the day, we’re just two people who love food, love people, and love making something fun.”
So the next time you’re wandering downtown Mount Dora, don’t be surprised if you find yourself drawn toward the sound of sizzling carnitas, the crunch of Fritos, and a taco menu that’s anything but typical.
They are located at 334 N Donnelly St. in Mount Dora and open 11am to 6pm Tuesday through Sunday. Shout out to Melro imports who provided the adorable decorations for the taco tray!
