Pinecrest Lakes Academy In Clermont Ranked #8 Middle School In Florida
Minneola, Fla. — Pinecrest Lakes Academy has achieved an exceptional milestone, ranking as the #8 middle school in Florida, according to the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings. This recognition highlights the school’s commitment to academic excellence and the collaborative efforts of its students, teachers, and staff.
The U.S. News ranking, based on state assessment performance and other academic indicators, underscores the rigorous standards and innovative teaching methods implemented at Pinecrest Lakes Academy. The accomplishment places the school among the top-performing middle schools in the state, a testament to its nurturing environment and focus on preparing students for future success.
Pinecrest vision is to empower lifelong learners with knowledge and values required for productive global leadership. Led by Principal Christina Alcalde, the school has flourished. “I was thrilled and honored to have been given the opportunity to lead the students of Pinecrest Lakes Academy and open Pinecrest Academy, Inc.’s first charter school in Lake County.” says Principal Alcalde. “Pinecrest Lakes Academy develops citizenship character traits in our students through our character education program that is based on mutual respect for all people. All of these elements combined create citizens who will create, innovate, achieve, and lead in tomorrow’s world.”
We have to give huge credit to all of the faculty, parents and of course the students for doing an amazing job and making this middle school the success it is. We are so proud to have a top ten middle school right here in Lake County. One of the school mottos is “If you associate with Eagles, you’ll learn how to soar.” Soar represents safety, ownership achievement and respect.

Kyle Coppola was born in Newton, Massachusetts and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communications from Curry College in 2016. After traveling to Florida on a family vacation, he decided he could not get enough of the warm weather and made the move from snowy Massachusetts to central Florida 8 years ago.
For the last decade Kyle has gained valuable experience in social media content creation, marketing and sales, writing, video production, sports announcing and even broadcasting for local radio stations, such as FM 102.9 in The Villages and FM 91.5 in Massachusetts. Every year he volunteers at The Villages Charter High School as a play-by-play sports announcer for the football games as well as a public address announcer for the basketball games, including the annual Battle at The Villages Tournament.
Outside the office Kyle is a husband and father to two beautiful girls along with their cat. In his spare time he likes to spend time with his family, travel, play golf and swim. He is also a huge sports junkie and even bigger motorsports fan and loves to attend racing events when he can.
