RLCA Volleyball Soars to National No. 2 Finish After Historic Season

Real Life Christian Academy volleyball closed out its season with the strongest performance in program history, finishing 20–8 overall and shattering multiple school records at both the conference and national levels.

The Raptors secured a 7th-place finish in the Sunshine State Athletic Association — the highest SSAA placement RLCA has ever earned. Facing a competitive schedule, the team delivered consistent, high-level play that pushed the program to new heights.

RLCA carried that momentum onto the national stage, finishing as Division II runner-up at the NACA National Tournament, marking another program-best milestone. Competing against teams from across the country, the Raptors fought through the bracket to bring home a historic 2nd-place national finish.

This season was driven in large part by the leadership of eight seniors whose presence, work ethic and influence helped shape the culture of the team both on and off the court. Their contributions marked a defining chapter in RLCA volleyball.

The program also celebrated a major individual achievement when captain Laila Navarro signed to continue her career at Warner University — RLCA’s first college signee in more than five years. Her leadership and drive have been foundational to the team’s growth.

While the graduating class leaves big shoes to fill, the future remains bright with standout junior and team MVP Sarai Vicente returning for her senior year. Sarai anchored the defense with 361 digs — ranking among the top 100 players in Florida — along with 58 aces, 33 assists and a 2.15 passer rating.

Head coach Stephanie Coleman says this season’s achievements reflect the resilience, growth and the belief that RLCA volleyball is ready to compete at higher levels.
