Rimes Early Learning Center in Leesburg To Be Featured on PBS Show
“A World of Difference: Embracing Neurodiversity,” the PBS television show produced by Beacon College, will feature students from Rimes Early Learning Center in Leesburg in an upcoming episode of the program that will celebrate the groundbreaking PBS television show “Carl the Collector” at Rimes in Leesburg. Filming will take place this Friday and will air in July.
Rimes Early Learning Center is located at 3101 Schoolview Street, Leesburg, FL.
Through this unique partnership with WUCF-TV, students at Rimes Early Learning Center will screen an episode of “Carl the Collector,” the first children’s cartoon to feature a neurodivergent character as its lead character. Additionally, the elementary students will be featured in a July 2025 segment of “A World of Difference: Embracing Neurodiversity,” as they react and respond to the various situations of “Carl” and his friends and are interviewed about the experience.
As a follow up to this unique screening, WUCF-TV will be working with Rimes Elementary to provide an interactive activity event at a later date which will help to further student awareness about learning differences.
