G3 Development broke ground on the first new construction project in Downtown Mount Dora in over 20 years earlier this morning. The project, which will be taking shape on Baker Street next to the downtown parking garage, will bring The Yardery, a fast-casual dining and outdoor social/entertainment space, to Downtown Mount Dora by the end of the year. The Yardery, which describes itself as “family-friendly, pet-friendly, and, well, just plain friendly,” currently has one successful location in Sanford, FL. Mount Dora will be their second location and will feature interesting eats, outdoor dining, games like cornhole and table tennis, flatscreen TVs, and a rooftop bar with views of Lake Dora!

Austin Guenther, who is managing the project, said “We are extremely excited to bring this project to life in Mount Dora! The building will feature a 5,400-square-foot, two-story restaurant with the only rooftop bar in Lake County. The property will also include over 11,000 square feet of yard and patio space for popular activities and yard games. We think this type of property will fit in well with the downtown scene. Residents and visitors will really enjoy the outdoor activity space and rooftop views.” The Yardery anticipates opening for business in the 3rd quarter of 2024.
