Ryan Ritchie Elected to Destinations Florida Board of Directors

Destinations Florida provides advocacy, education, and resources for tourism professionals, ensuring that destination marketing organizations, such as Discover Lake County, have the tools and support needed to strengthen Florida’s tourism economy. Ryan’s appointment reflects his leadership in promoting Lake County as a premier destination for outdoor recreation, sporting events, and authentic Florida experiences.
“I am honored to represent Lake County and our region on the Destinations Florida Board of Directors,” Ryan says. “This will allow me to collaborate with tourism leaders across the state to enhance our collective efforts in driving responsible growth, supporting local businesses, and showcasing what makes Florida and Lake County a special place to visit.”
Lake County Commissioner Kirby Smith, who also serves as Chair of the Tourist Development Council, shared his support, saying, “Ryan’s election to the Destinations Florida Board is a testament to his dedication and leadership in advancing tourism in Lake County. His involvement at the state level not only elevates our county’s visibility but also ensures that our community’s voice is part of the larger conversation shaping Florida’s tourism future.”
Ryan has led Lake County’s Office of Tourism since May 2022, guiding strategic marketing initiatives, partnerships, and event recruitment efforts that have significantly increased visitation and economic impact throughout the county.
