The Mount Dora Center for the Arts hosted the Viva La Frida Festival celebrating Mexican painter Frida Khalo on September 30 at Donnelly Park. The lively festival featured food, arts and crafts, diverse vendors, a live painting competition, music, dancing and a Frida Kahlo costume contest. The Orlando Opera also performed highlights from “Frida Kahlo and the Bravest Little Girl in the World.” Proceeds benefited the Mount Dora Center for the Arts, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching lives through art.
