Scholarship Opportunity Now Open for High School Seniors
The Joseph A. Melbourne Jr. Annual Scholarship Program is officially accepting applications, offering an incredible opportunity for students to further their education. Named after Addition Financial Credit Union’s former President and CEO, this scholarship program aims to support the aspirations of young scholars in the community.
The program is awarding a total of six scholarships to deserving high school seniors, each valued at $10,000. In addition to these generous awards, the program also extends its support to students pursuing master’s degrees, with two master’s level scholarships worth $2,500 each.
To be eligible for this remarkable opportunity, high school applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be accepted to a 4-year university, college, or trade school.
- Possess a current cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Be a primary or joint member of Addition Financial Credit Union at the time of application.
- Answer two short essay questions, each requiring responses of 100 words or less.
- Include a letter of recommendation from a trusted source.
The application window is currently open and will remain so until February 29. Students are encouraged to seize this chance to pursue their higher education dreams. The scholarship recipients will be thoughtfully selected and notified by April 30, giving them ample time to plan their academic journey.
