or nearly three decades, Spa Kingdom has been helping Central Florida families relax, recharge and enjoy life at home. This December, the family-owned and operated company will celebrate 27 years in business—a milestone built on hard work, personal service and generations of family involvement.

The story began in 1999, when Larry and Beth Smith opened Spa Kingdom after moving their family from Connecticut to Florida in 1987. The original location was in the old Castle building on U.S. Highway 441 in Lady Lake, which has since been replaced by Wawa.

From those early days, Larry, Beth and their son Matthew worked together to build the business, combining a strong work ethic with attention to detail and a commitment to treating customers like neighbors. 

Spa Kingdom soon became a true family enterprise. Larry and Beth’s children—Rebecca (Becky), Matthew, Jessica and Gregory—have all worked in the business, and today another generation is growing up around the family company.

Larry now serves primarily as safety manager while enjoying more retirement time with Beth. Matthew and Becky oversee the company’s day-to-day operations and continue the tradition their parents started.

The family’s second location, Florida Spa and Pool Warehouse in Leesburg, features:

• Endless Pools 
• Tylo saunas 
• Vigor cold plunges

“We have everything for your wellness journey,” says Matthew. “We’re fully licensed and insured, and we protect our customers by not subcontracting our work. Our team is here to help you from start to finish and beyond.”

That hands-on approach extends well beyond sales. Spa Kingdom services all makes and models of hot tubs and maintains an extensive parts department with many hard-to-find and discontinued parts.

The company now employs approximately 30 people, including seven family members. Many employees have been part of the Spa Kingdom family for years, including service technician Cody, who has been with the company for 24 years.

After 27 years, the mission remains simple: provide knowledgeable, friendly service and products designed to help customers swim, soak, steam and plunge their way to better living.
