Style Magazine Takes Home 14 Florida Press Club Journalism Awards
Style Magazine is proud to announce winners of the 2022-2023 Excellence in Journalism Awards from the Florida Press Club Excellence in Journalism Competition. The annual gala was held on January 27 in Clearwater, where awards were given out for outstanding journalism across the state, honoring excellence in photography, writing, and design.
Among this year’s winners are Style Magazine’s Creative Director Michael Gaulin, Graphic Designer Shawnee Coppola, Digital Editor Cindy Peterson, Managing Editor Roxanne Brown, Contributing Writer Gary Corsair, and the late James Combs, who was a longtime staff writer. Each recipient has demonstrated exceptional talent, dedication, and professionalism in their respective fields of journalism.
Sadly, James Combs passed away in December after battling cancer. He was honored at the awards banquet for his many years of exemplary journalism, winning three first place awards. His contributions to the field will forever be remembered and cherished by his colleagues and the community alike.
The Florida Press Club Excellence in Journalism Competition serves as a platform to celebrate the invaluable contributions of journalists who tirelessly strive for truth, integrity, and excellence in their work.
Style Magazine extends its heartfelt congratulations to all the winners for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the field of journalism, and a huge thank you to FPC President Anne Geggis for her hard work and dedication to the cause.
