NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Students from Tavares High School’s band and choir recently returned from an unforgettable trip to Music City, where they showcased their talents on some of the most iconic stages in the industry.

During their visit, the students performed at the renowned Country Music Hall of Fame and had the extraordinary opportunity to record songs at RCA Studios—the very same studio where Elvis Presley recorded his legendary hits. The experience provided them with a rare glimpse into the professional recording process, further inspiring their passion for music.

Adding to the educational aspect of the trip, the students participated in a clinic at Vanderbilt University, where they worked with a Vanderbilt music professor. The session offered valuable insights into music theory, performance techniques, and career opportunities in the music industry.

“This was an incredibly exciting experience for these talented students,” said Amanda Kimmel who is the mother of one of the band members. “They not only had the chance to perform in historic locations but also gained knowledge and skills that will benefit them for years to come.”

Band Directors Mr. Hall and Mr. Bushman have done an amazing job with the Tavares Band and Choir over the years. Tavares Big Red Marching Band is always a fan favorite in the area.
