Tavares High School Football Team Wins 2024 7V7 FCA Championship
Is Tavares High perhaps one of the most exciting teams to take the field this season? If the off-season 7 versus 7 competition is any indication, Coach Gavin Jones has a strong team coming into the season.
Tavares clinched the championship and will look to battle it out for the FHS 7V7 7A State Championships in The Villages in a few weeks.
Tavares High comes in with an exciting group of players this season. Tyler Davis, Izayia Williams, the list goes on and on with the talent that will be on the field this season.
Izayia Williams in particular is being heavily recruited. Williams is a 4-Star Edge and Linebacker. He is among the most talented players in all of Central Florida.
The wide receiving corps along with the entire offense is going to look stout this season as well. “Dawgs are the 2024 FCA Team Lake County King Champions! Proud of the hard work all of these young men have put in this off-season,” says Tavares Coach Trey Grant.
One thing is for sure, Tavares High is back. After a 5-5 season in 2023 and coming off the 0-10 season in 2022, Tavares comes into 2024 with a lot of momentum.
Just how this team will look when August hits is still a mystery but if the off-season is any indication, Tavares High could shock a lot of people this year.
