The presentation of the rings was a proud moment for the players, marking the culmination of a season filled with challenges and triumphs. The team’s success has not only brought pride to Tavares High but has also inspired the community, highlighting the power of inclusion and sportsmanship. This is a wonderful accomplishment. I know how hard everyone works to make this happen and we are so blessed that Lake County takes pride in Unified Sports.

Michelle Metheny along with her fantastic staff do such a trumendous job with the Tavares High Best Buddies & Unified Special Olympics program. That goes for everyone who is involved with Lake County Unified programs.

The Tavares High Unified Special Olympics Flag Football team looks forward to continuing their success in future seasons, aiming to build on their accomplishments and inspire others in the process.
