How it began: I joined track and field in 7th grade after a parent-teacher conference when Coach Von Maxey suggested I join to help keep me accountable for my grades. I turned out to be pretty good at discus and have focused on that ever since.
My greatest awards: I’m a two-time middle school district champ, middle school medalist and a middle school record holder. I’m also a high school district champ and tied the high school discus record that hasn’t been broken since 2007.
When I picked up a camera: I started my own photography business the summer before freshman year and have grown it a lot. I got into photography when my brother played basketball. My parents said I should do it since we were always going to his AAU tournaments.
I love: Being able to use my creativity and capture moments in life.
A saying I live by: You’re a product of your environment and you live most of your life inside your head. Make sure it’s a good place.

Future goals: I plan on going to a Division 1 top 50 school on a full scholarship for discus.
Topping my music playlist: Drake and Frank Ocean—I listen to them every day.
My go-to place to eat: Wawa. I get the chicken parm.
My hidden talents: I like to play guitar and I’m a fast learner.
A message to the world: Let your life be truly yours. You only get one shot at this life. Make sure it’s a good one and go to bed knowing you tried your best that day.
