The Villages’ Torin Foley Sets All-Time Stolen Base Record

LEESBURG, Fla. — The Villages Charter High School senior Torin Foley broke an all-time record last evening. With two stolen bases last evening, Foley became The Villages all-time leading stolen bases leader with 21 stolen bases this year and counting. The Villages would earn a dominant 20-3 victory over Leesburg High School.
Foley swiped two bases in the win, bringing his season total to 21 and surpassing the previous record. The milestone adds to an already standout campaign for the senior, who has been an offensive catalyst for The Villages (11-3) this season. His impact at the plate and on the basepaths has been instrumental in The Villages strong performance this year.

His power numbers include seven doubles, two triples, and three home runs, making him one of the most complete hitters in Lake & Sumter County. Beyond his offensive prowess, Foley’s ability to create scoring opportunities with his speed and aggressive baserunning has kept opposing defenses on edge throughout the season.
The Villages’ offensive explosion against Leesburg was one of their most dominant performances of the year, with Foley playing a key role in the team’s success.
