The Villages’ Tracy Performing Arts Center Now Offering Professional Performances

The Tracy Performing Arts Center, located at the brand-new Villages Charter High School, has begun offering professional performances. The state-of-the-art performing arts venue is among the most beautiful and modern facilities in all of Lake & Sumter County. The theater has been used for band concerts, plays, and will now be used for musical acts. The first concert will be Spin Doctors on October, 6th.

(The view from above. There is not a bad seat in the house.)

Some of the first ticketed shows have been announced, include Plain White T’s, The Devon Allman Project, Billy Ocean, and Caroline Rhea among others. The Tracy Performing Arts Center is named after Tracy Morse, who has been instrumental with her incredible designs over the years in The Villages community.

(Modern design choices really make things pop. The venue uses back lighting to enhance these designs such as the V here in the waiting area just outside the theater.)

The new venue joins a lineup of already established performing arts venues in The Villages, including The Sharon Morse Performing Arts Center in Spanish Springs, Savannah Center, and The Studio, among others.

(The view from the stage is impressive. Note all the acoustic buffers toward the roof that help the sound.)

Having been in this theater and seen what it’s capable of, it’s an incredible place to watch a performance. The sound system is state-of-the-art, the lighting is amazing, and the seats are brand new and very comfortable. The lobby looks so professional, and the entire venue was just so well thought out and put together. I have to give huge credit to the Morse family for producing something so beautiful for the community. I personally love the natural light that shines into the waiting area outside the theatre. It’s a relaxing place to sit and talk with others during breaks in action or before a performance.

(I love small design features like these, the lighting on the sides of the seats are a nice touch.)

Anyone can purchase tickets to these events. You don’t have to live in The Villages. You can check out the events at www.thevillagesentertainment.com.
