TownePlace Suites Marks Five Years in Leesburg, Welcomes New General Manager

TownePlace Suites by Marriott Leesburg recently celebrated its fifth anniversary while welcoming new General Manager Lydia Capote during a community celebration.

The event welcomed Mayor Allyson Berry, Commissioner Alan Reisman, local business owners, community leaders, residents and visiting guests for an evening celebrating the hotel’s milestone that included refreshments and guided tours of the property.

“TownePlace Suites isn’t just another hotel, it’s an investment in the future of Leesburg and our growing community,” Lydia says. “We’re excited to create jobs, welcome visitors and become part of the fabric of this city. This project reflects the confidence developers have in the continued growth of Lake County.”

As the hotel’s new general manager, Lydia is introducing a new initiative called “The Buzz,” which highlights local businesses in the hotel’s directory. During the anniversary celebration, Brick and Barrel, McCracken’s Irish Pub, Ski Beach, Two Old Hags, Wolf Branch Brewing and Lake Square Mall set up stations offering food and beverage samples while introducing guests to their businesses.

Over the past five years, TownePlace Suites has sold out during Bikefest, sporting events, travel basketball tournaments held at The Big House and church conventions.

Lydia said she looks forward to building lasting relationships with both the local community and visiting guests while continuing the hotel’s commitment to exceptional hospitality.
