Two-Time Super Bowl Champion Brock Marion Named As The Villages Defensive Backs Coach
The Villages Charter High School has made a significant addition to its coaching staff, hiring Brock Marion, a 12-year NFL veteran and two-time Super Bowl Champion, as their new defensive back coach. Marion, who played for the Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins, and Detroit Lions, brings an unparalleled level of experience and expertise to an already talented roster of Buffalo coaches and players.
Brock Marion, brother of Villages running backs coach Todd Marion, hails from California and played college football at the University of Nevada. He was drafted in the 7th round of the 1993 NFL Draft with the 196th overall pick. Marion’s illustrious NFL career includes three Pro Bowl appearances and two Super Bowl championships, secured in 1994 and 1996 with the Dallas Cowboys.
At 54 years old, Coach Marion transitions to The Villages following his recent role as the defensive backs coach with the Michigan Panthers and a coaching stint with the Memphis Showboats in 2023. His extensive experience is expected to significantly bolster the defense of The Villages Charter High School’s football team.
In addition to Marion, The Villages has also welcomed former quarterback Landon Noe, a 2017 graduate, and Asiantii Woulard to the coaching staff. These new hires, combined with the seasoned leadership of longtime head coach Richard Pettus, position The Villages for a promising 2024 season. Pettus, no stranger to cultivating talent, is enthusiastic about the potential these additions bring to the program.
With Marion’s NFL pedigree and the fresh perspectives of Noe and Woulard, The Villages Charter High School’s football team is poised for an exciting season. We won’t have to wait long to see The Villages play, the first game is just about one month away.
