Umatilla High School girls’ basketball player Trinity Brennan has committed to Missouri Valley College in Missouri. Brennan was a standout player on the varsity team for the past few years, experiencing both the highs and lows of Umatilla Basketball. During Brennan’s freshman year, the team only won one game the entire year. However, this year, Umatilla Girls’ Basketball had its best season in school history, finishing 19-7.

Brennan is a player who was always willing to learn, especially when Coach Cameron Ware came on board; the dynamic of the team changed positively. The team developed a sense of pride, and Coach Ware got the most out of the program. Brennan excelled, particularly this past season, averaging 7.4 points per game.

Brennan also finished the season with 156 points, ranking second on the team in 3-pointers with 21, just shy of Emelee Duncan, who had 22. Between Herva Brutus, Emalee Duncan, Trinity Brennan, and Lauren Archer, this team was a joy to watch, genuinely enjoying the game.

“Trinity was always willing to do what needed to be done to help the team. I appreciated her hard work ethic, and that rubbed off on the entire team,” says Cameron Ware, Umatilla High’s head girls’ basketball coach. “Trinity and some of these seniors have been through a lot during their time at Umatilla. I am thankful for what they provided to the program. They set the bar for future athletes. You couldn’t ask for more than that. Trinity will do amazing things no matter what she puts her mind to,” says Coach Ware.

The future looks bright for Trinity. She was surrounded by her family, friends, and faculty as she made her commitment to Missouri Valley College. They play in the NAIA and are part of the Heartland Athletic Conference. Missouri Valley is getting a truly great player and an even better individual. Brennan will be a great asset to her new program, and we look forward to her success in the next few years at Missouri Valley College! Congratulations!
