Real Life Christian Academy senior gets A’s while improving community.

  • Recipient of Ray Goodgame Outstanding Student Leader Award and $1,000 scholarship. 
  • Plays on varsity basketball team.
  • Volunteers at the academy’s Kid Life program and at a group home.
  • Valerie carries a 4.7 GPA.

What is your biggest accomplishment?
Earning my academic and sports awards and nominations.

Who is your hero or inspiration?
My mom.

“The only thing better than being blessed is being a blessing.”

Favorite activity:
Basketball.

Future goals and dreams:
To major in law.

What’s the best advice you’ve been given?
Remember to value yourself and that your name and respect is all that you have when you leave this earth.

If you could have dinner with anyone living or dead, who would it be?
Jesus. Do you know how much help he would give me?

Favorite food:
I love all Haitian food.

Favorite type of music:
R&B, Christian and hip-hop.

Pet peeve:
Bullying for no reason and fakeness.

What’s on your bucket list?
To get out of the country and visit somewhere else.

Originally from Buffalo, NY, Victoria graduated from Canisius College in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in English and Writing. In August of 2019, she relocated to Eustis, Florida, and soon began at Akers Media Group assisting with social media projects. Later that year, she was promoted to a full-time writing position at the company and has since found her niche telling the stories of so many of Lake and Sumter County’s awesome people.
