Villages Charter High To Host Rural Football State Championships
Exciting news out of The Villages as The Villages Charter High School is set to host the FHSAA Rural Football State Championships. The FHSAA announced that the H.G. Morse Range Stadium will serve as the host of two state championship games on Friday, December 6th. This will be the first time in school history that The Villages Charter High School will host such an honor. This is huge for Sumter County to get something like this and we should be very excited about the potential this brings to the area.
The Villages Charter High School opened up a brand new state of the art campus last year. It is one of the most impressive high school stadiums in the state of Florida. The entire school is so well done and also features a nice gym, professional theatre, Olympic sized swimming pool, state of the art classrooms and so much more. The current stadium sits around 6,000 people so it’s the perfect place to host championship football games.
The FHSAA has said that dates, venue location and schedules for the FHSAA Class 1A-7A football state championships will be announced at a later date. This is a developing story and we will update when we know more information.
