When Are Local Olympians Competing At 2024 Paris Olympics?

Local Clermont athletes will compete in the Track & Field portion of the 2024 Paris Olympics starting this weekend! Clermont’s Sha’Carri Richardson, Noah Lyles and Donovan Banks a former teacher at Windy Hill Middle School compete for gold! The schedule is below.

Noah Lyles:

  • Men’s 100m:
    • Prelims and Round 1: August 3 – 5:55 A.M. | Live On Peacock
    • Semifinals: August 4 – 2:05 P.M. | Live On Peacock
    • Finals: August 4 – 3:50 P.M. | Live On Peacock
  • Men’s 200m:
    • Round 1: August 5 – 1:55 P.M. | Live On Peacock
    • Semifinals: August 7 – 2:02 P.M. | Live On Peacock
    • Final: August 8 – 2:30 P.M. | Live On Peacock
  • Men’s 4x100m Relay:
    • Round 1: August 8 – 5:35 A.M. | Live On Peacock

Sha’Carri Richardson:

  • Women’s 100m:

  • Women’s 4X100 Relay:

Donovan Banks – Men’s Javelin

  • Men’s Javelin Throw:

Highlights of these events will air on NBC in primetime but if you want to watch them live, I suggest using Peacock so you can experience it live as it happens. Most of the finals happen in the afternoon. Check your local listings for the Primetime broadcast.

Kyle Coppola was born in Newton, Massachusetts and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communications from Curry College in 2016. After traveling to Florida on a family vacation, he decided he could not get enough of the warm weather and made the move from snowy Massachusetts to central Florida 8 years ago.

Every year he volunteers at The Villages Charter High School as a play-by-play sports announcer for the football games as well as a public address announcer for the basketball games, including the annual Battle at The Villages Tournament.

Outside the office Kyle is a husband and father to two beautiful girls along with their cat. In his spare time he likes to spend time with his family, travel, play golf and swim. He is also a huge sports junkie and even bigger motorsports fan and loves to attend racing events when he can.
