The Wildwood Girls’ basketball team secured a dominant 95-19 victory, marking the most significant blowout in this season’s playoffs so far.

The game was completely one-sided, with Wildwood establishing a staggering 34-0 lead by the end of the first quarter. By halftime, their lead extended to 57-5. Despite the second half operating under a mercy rule with a running clock, Wildwood continued to dominate, adding 38 more points while limiting Pahokee to just 5, resulting in a resounding 95-10.

This remarkable 85-point victory stands out as the season’s most substantial win. In the upcoming game next week, Wildwood will take on Trenton, a team they convincingly defeated 63-26 in the district championship game just two weeks ago in the District Championship game.

With aspirations for a state championship, the Lady Wildcats are looking terrific down the home stretch this year. Having reached the State Championship in the previous two years with heartbreaking losses, this year’s team is showcasing exceptional prowess. Wildwood’s next challenge is scheduled for Monday, February 19th, at 7 pm.
