Wildwood Middle High School Students Build Futures with Habitat for Humanity

Students in Mr. Lipham’s construction class at Wildwood Middle High School are rolling up their sleeves and making a difference in their community. Through a partnership with Habitat for Humanity, these students are stepping out of the classroom and onto real job sites, working on housing projects that provide safe, affordable homes for local families in need.

The students gain hands-on experience in areas like framing, job site safety, and ensuring the structural integrity of homes. These lessons not only align with their coursework but also offer invaluable real-world application of their skills.

(Wildwood students work on getting the frame of the house put together.)

This is an incredible opportunity for these students. They’re learning skills that will prepare them for careers in construction and beyond, all while giving back to the community. We absolutely love to see it.

The program has sparked excitement among students, who appreciate the chance to apply their knowledge in meaningful ways. For many of them it just feels good to be giving back to people who truly need it.

(This is a chance for students to give back but also learn life and future job site skills as well.)

This collaboration is just the beginning, as more Habitat for Humanity projects are planned throughout the school year. With each nail hammered and board cut, the students are not only building houses—they’re building stronger futures for themselves and their neighbors.

Keep up the great work everyone!
