MINNEOLA, Fla. — Lake Minneola High School’s volleyball team saw their historic 10-game winning streak come to an abrupt end earlier this week, falling 3-0 to West Orange in a hard-fought match that snapped their best start in school history. The Hawks struggled to find their rhythm against a strong West Orange team, dropping sets 25-18, 25-21, and 25-17.

Despite the setback, Lake Minneola (11-1) bounced back with a 3-1 victory over Horizon High on Tuesday night. The Hawks took the first set 25-17 but Horizon took set 2 25-18. The third set wsa a close 25-23 win for Lake Minneola and they finished it off with a 25-21 win in set 4 to win the match. They showed up against Horizon showing resilience and determination to regain their form after the loss.

The win improves the Hawks’ record to 11-1 as they look to build on their strong season. Camila Antonsanti-Soto, Alissa Grant, Bailey O’Dell, Rylee Townsend and Brooke Larson have all been amazing this year for the Hawks.

With district playoffs looming, Lake Minneola will look to finish the regular season off on a strong note and prepare for what should be an awesome District Tournament. Lake Minneola is now ranked inside the top 50 teams in Florida at #49.
