Teen dating violence
Most people think of love and Valentine’s Day in February, but it’s also a good time to remember many teenagers are caught in relationships with violent partners. February is Teen Dating Violence Month, which was created to raise awareness of this problem. Warning signs of violent teens include: isolation/preventing partner from spending time with others; mood swings/irritability; threats of violence/abuse; yelling; forced sexual activity; pressure to do something against principles; refusal to accept responsibility; name calling/degrading; and bouts of frightening, violent behavior. Parents, stay aware and keep your teen safe.
