Umatilla High School Senior Lauryn Bischoff is not your average student. Not only is she part of the cheerleading team but she also plays tennis, golf and is one of the smartest students in Lake County with a 5.28 GPA. She is an amazing student-athlete who personifies what the very definition means.

Bischoff has always been a great student. Her mother Kim Bischoff instilled that in her at a young age. Lauryn has been involved with a variety of programs at school and outside of school. She has used her time at high school to better not only herself but those around her.

(Lauryn has a high IQ and her 5.28 GPA is among some of the top students at Umatilla High School.)

At Umatilla High School, Lauryn is involved with the school’s Key Club which is a student-run organization that encourages leadership through serving others. The Key club provides its members with the opportunity to provide service, build character and develop the leadership skills for the future. Lauryn has been the President of the Key Club the last 2 years. She has been involved with student government. While undertaking all of her activities, Lauryn has continued to be one of Umatilla High School’s finest students.

(Outside of school Lauryn competes in beauty peagents. Here she is recently at a runway show in New York City.)

Lauryn has a high IQ and her 5.28 GPA is among some of the top students at Umatilla High School. She is in the first group to graduate with an AICE Diploma. Lauryn has earned the AICE Merit Diploma and only 5 students at Umatilla High School have earned that. That gives Lauryn the BrightFutures Scholar Scholarship which is a 100% scholarship.

Lauryn has signed her commitment letter to The University of Florida where she plans on earning a degree in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation. She wants to work for the Florida Game and Fish Commission upon graduating.

(Lauryn had the chance to walk on a runway in New York City.)

When she is not competing in athletics at school or studying, Lauryn takes part in beauty pageants. She has won competitions and recently was on a runway back in September in New York modeling fashion clothing.

(Lauryn has big plans for her future. She intends on earning her degree in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation. She wants to work for the Florida Game and Fish Commission.)

Lauryn also intends on joining a cheerleading club on the campus of University of Florida. One thing is for sure! This amazing young lady has a great future in front of her. We are so proud that she represents Umatilla High School and Lake County! Congratulations to her family, friends, coaches, and teachers who have got her to this point. Go Lauryn!
