Atlanta Braves Icon Sid Bream Speaking In Sumter County
Exciting news as Atlanta Braves Icon Sid Bream is coming to Sumter County next Friday, May 24th, 2024, from 6-9pm. Sid Bream will be speaking at the Wildwood Community Center during a campaign dinner for Logan Brown.
Sid Bream will be the keynote speaker at the dinner that will include live music with Nolan Hamm and more.
Logan Brown is running for the Republican for Sumter County Superintendent of Schools. His motto is Students First Transparency in Education. Brown has been vocal about the Sumter County school district and that it’s not the way it was when he left. Logan Brown is campaigning against Richard Allen Shirley Jr. for the seat.
For those who don’t know Sid Bream, he played in the MLB from 1983 until 1994. He’s currently 63 years old. Bream was most remembered for his game-winning run scored in the 1992 National League Championship Series that sent the Braves to the World Series. Bream would play in two World Series for the Braves in 1991 and 1992.
While Bream would not become a World Series champion, he had many memorable moments during his impressive career. After Baseball, Bream returned to Pittsburgh where he lives with his wife, Michele.
After retiring, Bream became a motivational speaker for Christian Sports International. In 2003, he joined “Battin’ 1000,” a Pro-Life group composed of several former baseball celebrities.
Kyle Coppola was born in Newton, Massachusetts and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communications from Curry College in 2016. After traveling to Florida on a family vacation, he decided he could not get enough of the warm weather and made the move from snowy Massachusetts to central Florida 8 years ago.
For the last decade Kyle has gained valuable experience in social media content creation, marketing and sales, writing, video production, sports announcing and even broadcasting for local radio stations, such as FM 102.9 in The Villages and FM 91.5 in Massachusetts. Every year he volunteers at The Villages Charter High School as a play-by-play sports announcer for the football games as well as a public address announcer for the basketball games, including the annual Battle at The Villages Tournament.
Outside the office Kyle is a husband and father to two beautiful girls along with their cat. In his spare time he likes to spend time with his family, travel, play golf and swim. He is also a huge sports junkie and even bigger motorsports fan and loves to attend racing events when he can.
