Armor Roofing & Home Improvement has officially earned the title of “Hunger Heroes” after taking first place in a massive food drive supporting the grand opening of Lake Cares Food Pantry’s new facility.

Competing against several other local roofing companies, Armor Roofing led the charge with an impressive 1,196 pounds of food collected, topping the leaderboard ahead of Savage Roofing (983 lbs) and Farmers Roofing (752 lbs). In total, nearly two tons of food were gathered — all of it helping to stock the pantry and support families in need across Lake County.

“Who says roofers only help build homes? We help fill them too!” the company shared in a celebratory message on social media, thanking the community for its overwhelming support.

The friendly competition not only provided a fun way to unite businesses but also made a real impact, touching countless lives with donations of canned goods, dry staples, and other essentials.

And Armor Roofing isn’t slowing down.

The company is now gearing up for its next big community event — a Back-to-School Giveaway on Saturday, July 26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at their Leesburg location, 1134 E. North Blvd.

The event will provide free backpacks and school supplies to help local students prepare for the upcoming school year. Families can also enjoy free lunch and a raffle during the event — while supplies last.
