Company/Job Title: Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Road Patrol Corporal
Job responsibilities: Currently, I supervise multiple road patrol deputies, approve their daily reports, ensure they have the resources they need, and that policies are being adhered to. I also have an immediate supervisor and feel that it is important to relieve whatever duties of theirs that I can assist with while they tend to other responsibilities.
What makes me passionate about my career: I see my profession and career path as one with enriching opportunities. Growing up, my family didn’t have the best perception of law enforcement compared to their now overall understanding. However, I knew, like in any profession, there are honest and hardworking employees and those whose actions are frowned upon. I always wanted to be a part of something larger than myself and join those that make this profession an honest one.
In my spare time: I have an amazing partner, my best friend, and we have been inseparable since high school. I enjoy our free time together in the comfort of our own home, any activities to do with water, trying new foods (or food in general), and exploring different restaurants.
My life after 40: My goal is to eventually achieve the rank of lieutenant at the Sheriff’s Office on Road Patrol. I believe working on the road has been a large part of my experience, and I appreciate all that it has to offer.
