Eustis High School Alumni Brady Singer Off To Hot Start with Cincinnati Reds

CINCINNATI — Former Eustis High School standout pitcher Brady Singer delivered one of the best performances of his career Monday night, pitching seven scoreless innings to lead the Cincinnati Reds to a dominant 14-3 victory over the Texas Rangers.
Singer, who was acquired by the Reds in the offseason in at trade with the Kansas City Royals, was nearly untouchable, striking out eight batters while allowing no earned runs. His stellar outing helped propel Cincinnati to an explosive offensive showcase, securing a statement win for the now 28-year-old.

(Brady Singer was one of the top pitchers in Eustis High and Tavares High School history. Singer now plays with his second MLB Team the Cincinatti Reds after being traded from Kansas City this off season.)
Brady Singer’s journey from a Florida high school star with Tavares and Eustis High School to Major League success has been such a joy to watch. A first-round draft pick out of the University of Florida, Singer has continued to grow as a pitcher, and his performance Monday night showcased his ability to dominate on the mound. Despite a new ballpark and being traded, Singer looks as good as he ever has and last night he brought it. If this is what the Reds will be getting this year, that trade with Kansas City is looking better and better.
Funny story is that Brady Singer’s college teammate was Jonathan India who was traded to Kansas City along with Joey Wiemer. India also played around Florida during his youth and attended Delray Beach High School. He was drafted in 2015 by the Milwaukee Brewers but decided to attend University of Florida before being selected by the Reds in 2018 with the fifth overall pick. The two have shared a similar path in their careers.
We love seeing the success that Brady is having to begin the season. It only gets tougher from here but Singer has started the year off with one of the best performances in the MLB.
