Eustis High Sophomore Emmy Luke Breaks Home Run Record in 11-0 Rout of Keystone Heights

EUSTIS, Fla. — Eustis High School sophomore softball player Emmy Luke made history Monday night, blasting two home runs to become the school’s all-time leader in career home runs as the Panthers rolled to an 11-0 victory over Keystone Heights.
Luke now has 11 homers on the season, a new Eustis High single-season record. The power-hitting star is having an electrifying year at the plate, leading the team with a .467 batting average. She has racked up 28 hits, 40 RBIs and 20 runs scored, cementing her status as one of the top offensive threats in the region.

(Emmy Luke gives a high five to Eustis Head coach Tyra Bowers who congratulates her on breaking the school-record for home runs in a single season. That total stands at 11 total.)
Emmy has been locked in all season. She’s a leader on and off the field and the way she is playing Eustis will be in good shape for the upcoming district tournament and FHSAA State Playoffs.
Eustis (16-4) dominated early and never looked back. Brooklyn Mason joined the home run party with a solo shot, while Adrianna Covino added a triple among her two hits, driving in two runs. The offense provided more than enough support for pitchers Carson Roden and Brooke Mansfield, who combined to toss a no-hitter. Roden struck out four in a shortened start, while Mansfield closed the door with a strikeout of her own.

With the playoffs approaching, the Panthers are peaking at the right time—and with Emmy Luke swinging a hot bat, they’ll be a tough team to slow down.
