Eustis High Announces Former Alumni Zoe Mueller As New Volleyball Head Coach
EUSTIS, Fla. — Eustis High School has announced Zoe Mueller as its new head volleyball coach. A 2023 graduate of Eustis High, Mueller brings her experience as a standout player back to her alma mater, becoming the youngest head volleyball coach in Lake County.
Mueller, who tallied 263 kill shots and 85 aces during her high school career, played a key role in some of Eustis High’s most competitive volleyball teams in recent years. She briefly continued her volleyball journey at Manhattan University Athletics in 2023 before deciding to transfer, ultimately paving the way for her to step into her first full-time coaching position.
“I’m excited to be back where it all started,” Mueller said. “It’s an incredible opportunity to help shape the future of Eustis volleyball and bring fresh ideas to the program.” says Mueller.
Known for her tenacity on the court, Mueller now aims to bring that same drive and dedication as a coach, blending traditional strategies with new approaches to elevate her team.
Mueller inherits a program eager to return to winning form and has already begun shaping her coaching philosophy to inspire and guide the Panthers to new heights. Eustis is now 4-4 this season. A recent game against The Villages saw Eustis take a set from the Buffalo. While they might have lost the game, there are a lot of things to like about the Eustis High volleyball program and plenty to build upon.
The Eustis Volleyball season has certainly had it’s ups and downs this season but perhaps Mueller can get the program settled in for the remaining part of the season. Brooke Fintak and Laci Gibson have been standouts this season offensively. Overall Eustis has a lot of good pieces and the team I watched last night can win volleyball games if they limit mistakes.
I look forward to the rest of this year and hope the Eustis program can continue to improve as we reach the halfway point in the 2024 season.
