Founder’s Day Citrus Festival set Saturday at Howey-in-the-Hills
The Town of Howey-in-the-Hills will host its 96th annual Founder’s Day Citrus Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at the Howey Mansion, located 1001 Citrus Ave. in Howey-in-the-Hills.
The free event will include vendors, a food truck, pony rides, free mansion tours, and a Howey history exhibit by the town’s Historical Society in the ballroom of the Howey Mansion.
Guests are invited to purchase raffle tickets for the chance to a free night stay at the Howey Mansion Guest House and for baskets filled with items donated by the vendors and local businesses with proceeds going to the restoration of the vintage Howey 1946 Mack firetruck.
