Fred Griffin Jr. Inducted into Lake County Schools Hall of Fame

EUSTIS, Fla. — Nearly two decades after graduating from Eustis High School, Fred Griffin Jr. is being honored for his contributions to education and the community with induction into the Lake County Schools Hall of Fame.
Griffin, who will celebrate 20 years as an Eustis High alumnus in May 2025, expressed his gratitude for the recognition, crediting the teachers, principals, mentors, family members, and community leaders who have supported him throughout his journey.
“I am beyond humbled to be inducted into the Lake County Schools Hall of Fame,” Griffin said. “Education has played a pivotal role in my journey, and I’m proud to be part of a district that continues to inspire and uplift students.”
The honor is presented by the Education Foundation of Lake County, which recognizes outstanding alumni, educators, and contributors who have made a lasting impact on local schools and students.
Griffin has been involved in countless community events. No matter if it’s community cleanups, volunteering at sports events or just being there for people in need, Fred Griffin Jr. goes above and beyond. Even this past year, Fred Griffin Jr. was putting in last minute hurricane prep which included personally filling sandbags with local Leesburg High School graduate D’mani Nettles and then delivering them to local residences to help with flooding. Griffin is a fantastic citizen in our community and we are so grateful for his continued support to our great community.

(Earlier This year Fred Griffin Jr. “right” D’mani Nettles “In the truck and Leesburg High basketball player Tyler Green volunteered to fill sandbags before a hurricane and delivered them to over 30+ families in need.)
Griffin extended his appreciation to the Lake County Schools community for shaping his path and inspiring future generations.
“This is an incredible honor,” he said. “Thank you to everyone who has been part of my journey.”
