Have you ever met a woman who just seems to have it all together? That’s a Boss Lady for you – a woman running her world with supreme self-belief. She’s the kind they write stories about, the kind people chat about, the one who always leaves folks nodding in admiration. When she steps into a space, she’s not just filling a void, she’s owning it – but how? I’ve been chasing that boss lady dream as far back as I can remember, studying every boss I’ve worked under, trying to decode that secret sauce of success.

What’s her story? What did it take to sit where she sits? There’s something about that cocktail of confidence and calm that was so darn attractive. I wanted in.

Even now, I get a kick out of being around women who power through life with such sure-footed strength.

That’s precisely why our Businesswomen of Style feature is the highlight of my year. Now that I’ve climbed the mountain myself, I get it. The climb’s tough and the struggle’s real. But, oh, the view from the top – it’s worth every challenging step.

There’s a twist though. The fancy title comes with the realization that it’s not about you anymore. It’s about lifting your team, getting down in the trenches with them and helping them hit those home runs. You’re their strongest ally, their go-to person.

For any gal gunning for that boss label, here’s a tidbit – keep pushing, keep dreaming; and when the going gets tough, press on. Those difficult dips? They’re gold. They shape you into not just a leader, but an inspiration. Stay grounded, keep it graceful and your path will unfold right before your very eyes.
