FRUITLAND PARK, Fla. — Lake County Fire Rescue marked a significant milestone on Thursday as they took part in the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Fruitland Park Public Safety Complex. The event celebrated the start of construction on a state-of-the-art facility that will serve as the future home for the department, enhancing safety and services for the surrounding community.

The modern complex is designed to meet the growing needs of Fruitland Park and its residents, offering expanded capabilities for emergency response and public safety. The new headquarters will house advanced equipment and technology, positioning Lake County Fire Rescue to deliver faster and more efficient services across the region.

The Public Safety Complex will offer upgraded infrastructure to accommodate a larger team of first responders, ensuring the department can respond to the increasing demands of the rapidly growing area. The project is expected to be completed sometime in 2025.
