The Sweetness of Summer

The Clermont Historic Village drew an enthusiastic crowd to downtown Clermont during its 6th Annual People’s Choice Dessert Challenge in August. Guests sampled treats and refreshing beverages from local favorites including Cookie Queen, The Crazy Apron, The Foxy Whisk, Mama T’s Italian Desserts, Ritter’s Frozen Custard and Small Cakes and voted for their favorites. Families enjoyed a kid-friendly scavenger hunt and tours of the beloved historic village. Of the participants, Cookie Queen took home first place, Mama T’s came in second and Small Cakes scored third. The Clermont Historical Society thanks Home Depot and Miller’s Ale House for providing gifts for the winners.
