Tiki-riffic Teachers

The Leesburg Area Chamber hosted a teacher and staff appreciation breakfast August 9 at The Leesburg Square Mall. Around 800 teachers and support staff decked out in leis, Hawaiian shirts and grass skirts were spoiled and applauded all morning by selected parents, elected officials, community leaders and grateful volunteers. Participating schools included Leesburg High, Oak Park and Carver middle schools, Rimes Early Learning, and multiple elementary schools including Leesburg, Beverly Shores, Treadway, Fruitland Park and The Villages at Lady Lake. All the participants enjoyed a beautiful catered breakfast and many walked away with wonderful prizes.
