Latisha Anderson

A few years ago, Latisha Anderson was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

After two surgeries in 2023, she is—by her own account—a walking miracle. That resilience runs through everything she does as an empowerment coach, author, minister and speaker. She is also an inspiration to many in her community.

“I believe we should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger. Because when you get a diagnosis like I did, you tend not to listen because your world starts to spin. Hang on and then you can make clear choices.”

Latisha’s life hasn’t been easy. She grew up in an abusive and unstable environment, experiencing pain that could have silenced her forever. Instead, she turned hurt into fuel for her mission: to help others find healing, identity and empowerment through faith and authenticity. She teaches people to rise up and embrace the parts of themselves often hidden in shame or fear; the very parts that can become foundations of purpose and promise.

Her message has reached women, children and families across Central Florida and beyond. Through The Chosen Place Enrichment Center, she and her husband Kevin mentor high school students in life skills, performing arts and spiritual growth.

She authored Embrace Your U.G.L.Y.: Your Uniqueness is God’s Love Story for You. She’s also created journals and workshops and continues to inspire with her next book, Embrace Your B.E.A.U.T.Y.

Latisha lives her life with a servant’s heart, as a mentor and vessel of hope. Her legacy is one of transformation and proof that trauma doesn’t get the last word, but authenticity does.

“If I sit at the seat of regret, then I cannot embrace the miracle that I am,” Latisha says.
