Leesburg High Football To Open Season in Miami
Leesburg High School football will be opening the season in Miami when they take on Dr. Krop from Dade County. This is a big way to start the season off, and what better way to do it than a trip to Miami!
Dr. Krop is coming off a 4-6 season, so they will be looking to get things started off on the right foot. Meanwhile, Leesburg High is coming off the most successful season since the early 1990s finishing 10-2 on the year. The Yellow Jackets will have a new head coach when the team takes the field in 2024 with Frank Scott.
Frank Scott is coming off two back-to-back district championship-winning seasons at Eustis High School, and now Leesburg High will look to try and replicate the 2023 season magic. While many faces have decided to follow their former coach to The First Academy in Orlando, Leesburg High has a solid group of returning players to build upon.
While positions have not been finalized, one thing is for sure: this team is stacked with potential talent. Many players already have college offers, and that list will only grow in the coming months.
While the season might begin in Miami, Leesburg has a four-game homestand to begin the 2024 season. Games against University on August 23rd, Wildwood on August 30th, Eustis High on November 6th, and Vanguard on November 13th set up a fantastic start of the year for Leesburg High with some very competitive matchups. You can check MaxPreps for the full schedule, but Leesburg will have their work cut out for them in 2024.
We can’t wait for the start of the season and to see the new-look Leesburg High Football team hit the field in the coming weeks!
